Keep Medicare Fair

Congress has overridden President Bush’s veto of the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008!

This week, President Bush followed through on his threat to veto the Medicare bill we all worked so hard to pass. We were disappointed but did not back down. Thousands of activists like you sent emails and AARP staff and members were up on Capital Hill making sure your messages got through.

Over the last several months, we have sent over 1 million messages to Congress and the White House. This week’s victory is surely a testament to what we can accomplish when we all work together for positive change.
